My Endless Love: What to Get the Chef

You’ve probably gathered by now that there’s a lot of things about Christmas that I love. Out of all of them, giving gifts is easily my absolute favourite. I spend hours…probably closer to days…looking for the most perfect gift for people, especially my friends and family. I usually get it pretty right—at least I assume I do. That said, I still have trouble finding something for certain people, especially my mother who never wants anything, but deserves so much.

I figured I can’t be the only person that struggles to find the right gift for certain people, so why not spend the week doing something I love—looking for gifts—that I can write off as blog ‘research’.

Today I’m dedicating to all things kitchen. While I’m living at home with the folks I bake and cook as a way of easing the stress on mum—it’s got to the point where she doesn’t even think about dinner, she just asks me what we’re having. Being the house chef, I dream daily of new utensils, dishes, and kitchen-y things that would make it easier to create the master(slash disaster)pieces I create.

So, without further ado, here’s a few ideas for the chef in your life.

1. A good knife set: Crate & Barrel Limited Edition Wüsthof® 8-Piece Walnut Knife Block Set2. Something to make conversion easier: Measuring Conversion Magnets from Crate and Barrel
3. A cute mixing bowl: Mint and White Striped Mixing Bowl from World Market
4. A pretty pie/tart dish: Corningware Etch Cornflower Blue Pie Plate from Peter’s of Kensington
5. Good quality ceramic ovenware: Potluck Baker Set from Crate and Barrel
